Product Description
WANSUN Black Annealed Wire is produced by annealing low-carbon steel wire to achieve maximum softness and flexibility. This process creates a wire that is easy to twist, bend, and cut by hand, making it ideal for binding rebar, baling, tying, and general construction tying. The black oxide surface provides mild corrosion protection during the construction phase.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can black annealed wire be used outdoors permanently?
Black annealed wire is primarily designed for temporary or construction-phase use. The black oxide surface provides only mild corrosion protection. For permanent outdoor applications, we recommend our galvanized wire products.
What is the difference between black annealed wire and galvanized wire?
Black annealed wire is softer, more flexible, and less expensive. It has a black oxide surface with minimal corrosion resistance. Galvanized wire has a zinc coating for corrosion protection but is slightly stiffer due to the coating process.
Can you supply pre-cut U-type ties?
Yes, we supply U-type cut ties in lengths from 100mm to 1,000mm. These are popular for rebar tying in concrete reinforcement. Pre-cut ties save time on construction sites and are available in bundles of 500-1,000 pieces.
What is the most popular size for construction binding?
For general construction tying and rebar binding, 20SWG (0.9mm) and 18SWG (1.2mm) are the most common sizes. For heavier binding applications, 16SWG (1.6mm) is preferred.
