Product Description
WANSUN Galvanized Wire is produced from high-quality low-carbon steel wire that undergoes zinc coating through either electro-galvanizing (EG) or hot-dipped galvanizing (HDG) processes. This wire provides excellent corrosion resistance for outdoor, marine, and high-humidity applications. It is widely used for binding, tying, fencing, vine support, cable armoring, and general industrial applications.

What is the difference between EG and HDG galvanized wire?
Electro-galvanized (EG) wire has a thinner zinc layer (8-15 microns) applied electrochemically, suitable for indoor and light outdoor use. Hot-dipped galvanized (HDG) wire has a thicker zinc layer (40-70 microns) applied by dipping in molten zinc, providing superior corrosion resistance for marine and heavy outdoor environments.
Can you produce galvanized wire to specific tensile strength?
Yes, we can adjust the wire drawing and annealing process to achieve tensile strengths from 300 MPa (soft) to 550 MPa (medium hard). Custom tensile specifications can be met for orders above 2 tons.
What salt spray performance can I expect?
EG galvanized wire typically passes 96 hours of salt spray testing. HDG galvanized wire with 280g/sqm zinc coating passes 500+ hours. We provide salt spray test certificates upon request.
Do you offer custom coil weights?
Yes, we can produce coils from 1kg to 800kg. For automated wire processing lines, we also offer Z2 and Z3 spools and pay-off packs. Custom spooling is available for orders above 1 ton.
